Mangalore: How to pay MESCOM electricity online?

Finally Mangalore is getting digital though at snail’s pace it’s changing for better. Rain or Sun, now Mangaloreans does not have to think of walking or travelling to KEB (MESCOM) or any bill collection points to pay the bill. You can do it through your finger tips and keep a track of the electricity usage and bill payment details online. All you have to do is, follow the simple procedure below to register your MESCOM account and pay the bills hassle free.

Prerequisites:

  • Working internet connection ;)
  • Account ID – Account ID is a 10 Digit number printed on your electricity bill. The matter on the electricity bill is not aligned properly, so the digit number which is printed below the RR number is your Account ID.
  • MESCOM URL - https://www.mescom.org.in/SCP/Myhome.aspx


Step 1: Click on the MESCOM URL and the page redirects you to the MESCOM Portal.Step 2: Click on Click here to Register link to register your account.

Step 3: Enter the Account ID and enter the Captcha code.


Step 4: Click Continue. 
Step 5: Verify the Personal Information. The name and address to which the meter is registered is displayed along with the Sub Division.



Step 6: Enter the Residence and/or mobile number and the email address.
Step 7: In Create a User Name and Password section, select the checkbox if you would like to keep the email address as your User ID and enter the password, re-confirm the password.
If you would like a separate User ID, enter the desired User ID,  enter the password and re-confirm the password.
Step 8: In Your Security Information section, enter the area pin code, Date of Birth, and select and answer a security question.
Step 9: Select the Terms and Conditions checkbox and click Register.
Successful account creation will take you to the Account Summary page.



You can View or Pay bill using the MESCOM Online portal. Along with these services, you can view the Billing and Payment History along with other services.

To pay the bill online, click on Pay Bill link.

Step 10: Select the Account ID, click on Terms and Conditions checkbox and click Make Payment.
The Payment Channel page is invoked.
Step 11: Select the Payment Channel and click on Pay Now.

This will take you to the Bill Desk Page, where you can enter the online banking details and complete the transaction.


Alternatively, you can pay the bills online without registering from the following location:
https://www.mescom.org.in/SCP/MyAccount/QuickPayment.aspx

You should be knowing your 10 digit account number to make the online payment without registering at MESCOM.

  2. It seems Electricity Bills show 7 digit account number, while the online registration asks for 10 digit account number.

      Thanks for stopping by. The account number is infact 10 digits but since the matter is not aligned properly people are getting confused. The number which is printed below the RR number is the Account ID and it is 10 digits.

    1. The number which is printed below the RR number is the Account ID and it is 10 digits. It's not in 13 digits probably. Please check that or if you have paid your bill anytime at Mangalore One, in the receipt you might find the Account ID.

    3. Why can't you dumb guys understand the RR no.is 13 digit .Solve the problem.Don't reply with check for 10 digit ,it's not there.Got it Sims ****.

  7. Me too having the same problem! Can't find the 10 digit number! I asked the Meter Reading guy about this and he told the 10 digit account id has not been used in these bills yet! :(

    1. That's sad. But while I registered I was able to. Try with all the possible options from the Bill or try connecting with MESCOM for your 10 digit account number.

    2. It's definitely not in the bill :( I'll ask them only while paying the next month bill :) It should be as easy as paying the landline bills in which only thing required is your telephone number! Let's see hopefully :)

  9. Very sad we mangaloreans unable to pay the bill through online because we all have 13 digit account no & we dont have even MESCOM app also .
    Buddivanthara naadu mangalore is far behind of bidar and gulbarga now feeling sad

    When i asked about my account id..in our b.c road mescom office..they suggest me that. You should pay bill here only.....
    All around talk about cashless india...
    But. Our mescom. Incredible...
    In their site also they shown bescom sample bill...upsetted....

  12. Monthly bill payment alerts might have come to your registered mobile in which the ten digit account ID is displayed. Myself have referred the same number and paid the bill online which is successful.

  13. I managed to link one account to my ID. But I have another account ID as well and would like to link it to the same username. Anybody has an Idea how to do it ???

  17. Why we mangloreans have this disadvntge..we cant pay the bill online..when we ask the vittal staff they r sayng u hve to cme to office to pay the bill..all other villages are moving in new genertion way bt we r in older way..why we manglreans like this

  22. i asked in moodbidri section office ,they told we do not have account id as yet so we wont be able to pay mescom bill online .... we have to got office or send it through post (i dont know what that mean (may be DD)) or ECS it .....

  24. I pay Bescom bills online using the account id provided in bills. When i do same for mescom it doesnt work... I am unable to pay electricity bills of my parents... They cant run behind electricity office every month.. I have read all the comments raised in this blog.. Authorities concerned should take note and act immediately

  26. Hello everyone. For mescom the online bill payment is not activated yet. It should be done by the government authorities. Therefore we cannot register online bills in Mangalore. Only thing we can do is to wait........ Until it gets authorised for mesacom.
